Wacky Wednesday Challenge, and another card.

So this first card is my entry for the Wacky Wednesday #23 Color Challenge. We had to use pink, brown, and green. So I went with mint green, hot pink & brown. The butterfly is cut from the Hannah Montana Cricut Cartridge at 3". I did trim part of the light green layer so that it was more design cohesive for me. I used Crystal Stickles in the mint green on the butterfly wings, brown heat set studs on the antennas, and my white gel pen by Sakura for some doodling. The background was embossed with the Floral Fantasy Cuttlebug folder and mounted on kraft cardstock. The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life set.

This second card, is based on a sketch. It was shown with rectangles, but I really wanted to use one of the label cuts from Preserves, so I did, a lot. There's a total of 6 of them in varying colors & sizes, and all except the dark brown one were inked in light brown. Patterned paper is from DCWV, cardstock is from TPC, sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life set & ribbon is from my stash.

Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Hi! Thanks for joining us for the GIU blog hop, if you got here from Amy 's blog then you're in the right spot. This is going up a bit late as I'm having major pc issues! So for the hop today, I'm showing you my massive project that I'm working on. I decided to make recipe books for a few people for Christmas and so I'm starting now. I'm using the Chilled Strawberry Soup set, I love it, it's super cute! I'm doing a few different cards into a single set. The set I'm currently working on use the strawberry, oven mitt and the heart.  I think that I'll end up with 20 or 30 of each card type per set. Growing in Unity Week: Day 1!

Hi! Welcome to Day One of my Growing in Unity Week! I'm super excited to be one of the Growing in Unity people for 2014. I'll be sharing projects everyday using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  and if you comment on my post for the day you'll be entered to win 2 itty bitty stamps from Unity(there's 540 itty bitty stamps showing in the category right now so you'll have TONS of choices)!  For Day One, I decided to play with the stamp set "Bee Happy Hexagons". I got it not too long ago and this is the first time I have gotten to play with it. I attempted to do a clean and simple card, and while I like the finished product, it definitely looks clean, but wasn't very simple to do. Here it is:  I stamped all the colored hexagons using my Tim Holtz Distress Markers(I used Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Mowed Grass) and then cut them all out.
