It's Friday!

Hi all, Brit here. It's Friday which means it's Friends with Flair over at Unity Stamp Co. I'm also entering this card in their August {be inspired} Challenge(for the card sketch). I decided to play with the "Fabulous Girl" itty bitty this time around, and as I always do when I use this stamp, I love how it turned out. :-) So here's the sketch for the {be inspired} challenge:


And here's what I did with it: 


Love how this card turned out. So pretty. :-) The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6 x 6 paper pad. The butterflies were cut out from one of papers and the dresses were paper pieced from more of the papers. I used a Bic Mark It marker in Woodsy Brown for the stitching and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Faded Jeans for the stamping and inking the edges. Also used a little Ranger Stickles in Star Dust on the butterflies and the dresses.

Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Hi! Thanks for joining us for the GIU blog hop, if you got here from Amy 's blog then you're in the right spot. This is going up a bit late as I'm having major pc issues! So for the hop today, I'm showing you my massive project that I'm working on. I decided to make recipe books for a few people for Christmas and so I'm starting now. I'm using the Chilled Strawberry Soup set, I love it, it's super cute! I'm doing a few different cards into a single set. The set I'm currently working on use the strawberry, oven mitt and the heart.  I think that I'll end up with 20 or 30 of each card type per set. Growing in Unity Week: Day 1!

Hi! Welcome to Day One of my Growing in Unity Week! I'm super excited to be one of the Growing in Unity people for 2014. I'll be sharing projects everyday using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  and if you comment on my post for the day you'll be entered to win 2 itty bitty stamps from Unity(there's 540 itty bitty stamps showing in the category right now so you'll have TONS of choices)!  For Day One, I decided to play with the stamp set "Bee Happy Hexagons". I got it not too long ago and this is the first time I have gotten to play with it. I attempted to do a clean and simple card, and while I like the finished product, it definitely looks clean, but wasn't very simple to do. Here it is:  I stamped all the colored hexagons using my Tim Holtz Distress Markers(I used Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Mowed Grass) and then cut them all out.
