TGIF!

Oh my what a week. The kiddo has been pushing my buttons about going to school all week. So glad it's Friday and I have a couple of days break before he starts up again Monday morning. So it's Friday, which means Friends With Flair with Unity Stamp Co. Kinda makes me love Fridays. :-) So this week I combined FWF with the Unity {be inspired} Challenge they have monthly on their challenge blog. I used the card sketch from the blog and tweaked it just a little. 

Here's the sketch:


And here's what I did with it:


This is the "Doin' It with Style" Itty Bitty from Unity, and the papers are from the Hip Hip Hooray 6 x 6 paper pad from American Crafts. I was having way too much fun coloring in that apron, it's too cute.

Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Hi! Thanks for joining us for the GIU blog hop, if you got here from Amy 's blog then you're in the right spot. This is going up a bit late as I'm having major pc issues! So for the hop today, I'm showing you my massive project that I'm working on. I decided to make recipe books for a few people for Christmas and so I'm starting now. I'm using the Chilled Strawberry Soup set, I love it, it's super cute! I'm doing a few different cards into a single set. The set I'm currently working on use the strawberry, oven mitt and the heart.  I think that I'll end up with 20 or 30 of each card type per set. Growing in Unity Week: Day 1!

Hi! Welcome to Day One of my Growing in Unity Week! I'm super excited to be one of the Growing in Unity people for 2014. I'll be sharing projects everyday using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  and if you comment on my post for the day you'll be entered to win 2 itty bitty stamps from Unity(there's 540 itty bitty stamps showing in the category right now so you'll have TONS of choices)!  For Day One, I decided to play with the stamp set "Bee Happy Hexagons". I got it not too long ago and this is the first time I have gotten to play with it. I attempted to do a clean and simple card, and while I like the finished product, it definitely looks clean, but wasn't very simple to do. Here it is:  I stamped all the colored hexagons using my Tim Holtz Distress Markers(I used Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Mowed Grass) and then cut them all out.
