Flaunt It Friday Challenge: Paper Pups

I decided to enter the Flaunt It Friday Challenge this week, of course they were using Paper Pups, so I substituted Create a Critter. I did look at the cut that we were supposed to use(dog & cat border on page 104), and once I flipped the puppy, well, it's close enough for me. The card is 5.5" square, and I rounded the bottom corners with my Fiskars punch. Darker pink layer is cut at 5.25" square. The light pink is cut at 2.5" x 5.25" and the blue is cut at 2" x 5.25". Then I punched one edge of each one with my Fiskars Treading Water border punch and layered them. The puppy & kitty were done on my Gypsy because I welded their shadow's together(I wanted them to layer perfectly, lol). The puppy is cut at 3.5" and the kitty is cut at 2.75". The bow on the kitty is supposed to be on it's neck, but I trimmed that part of the shadow off and decided to put the bow on it's head. So now it's a girl, lol, I also used a bright pink heat set rhinestone for the bow's center. All doodling was done with a white gelly roll pen by Sakura & the sentiment was from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life set and stamped with Staz-on ink in Jet Black. The glitter on the puppy is Distress Stickles Glitter Glue in Broken China.

My Cricut Craft Room's Card & Invitation Blog Hop

Welcome to the Card & Invitation Blog Hop hosted by Erica at My Cricut Craft Room. If you're just stumbling upon my blog start at the beginning { HERE }, this will get you to Erica's blog and let you know all the requirements for the blog hop candy. Here we go! So I'm completely unsure what I'm using this card for yet, but I like it. It measures 4" x 8". The base is a die cut sheet from the 8 x 8 pack of patterned paper from the Dilly Dally line by Making Memories. The plaid & butterfly print are also from that line, I manipulated a bracket shape on my Gypsy so that it would mimic the shape. Not sure which cartridge it ended up being off of. The ribbon is by Making Memories also it's from a vintage line, grosgrain with a ruffled edge. The yellow flower is a sticker from the Making Memories Chloe's Closet line and the stick pins are from that line also. The "Live. Laugh. Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Hi! Thanks for joining us for the GIU blog hop, if you got here from Amy 's blog then you're in the right spot. This is going up a bit late as I'm having major pc issues! So for the hop today, I'm showing you my massive project that I'm working on. I decided to make recipe books for a few people for Christmas and so I'm starting now. I'm using the Chilled Strawberry Soup set, I love it, it's super cute! I'm doing a few different cards into a single set. The set I'm currently working on use the strawberry, oven mitt and the heart.  I think that I'll end up with 20 or 30 of each card type per set.
