CropChocolate.com DT OWH/Any Hero Blog Hop!

Hi all! Wow it's been awhile, welcome to the CropChocolate.com's OWH Blog Hop & my blog! If you came here from Julie's blog for the Operation Write Home/ Any Hero blog hop that we're doing, you're in the right place and if you stumbled upon me today, feel free to start out the hop from Amber's blog and join in on our fun! If you don't know what Operation Write Home is, they are an organization that sends handmade cards to military bases all over the world, they have 3 shipping centers in the United States(one on the East Coast, one on the West Coast and one in the Mid-West). These busy ladies box cards and make sure they get shipped overseas. If you want to help, check out their website, there's a TON of info on what you need to know there.

So in the spirit of Operation Write Home and celebrating World Card Making Day(Oct. 6th, 2012), we're challenging you to complete our challenges(each of us have one), and send your cards into Operation Write Home.

My challenge is this: Use those scraps. I have tons of scraps, and actually a LOT of 6 x 6 scraps, so I want you to grab all the scraps you have for 1 collection(and you can use whatever embellishments you want), and make as many cards as you can out of them for Operation Write Home. I grabbed my scraps for Echo Park's Merry Christmas line, and started creating. I ended up getting 6 cards out of my scraps. I may still be able to get a few more out of it, but we'll see.

Here's what I started with:
Okay, so yeah, I started with a few 6 x 6 sheets and some element & alpha stickers.

And here's what I came up with:

Some are pretty basic, but I didn't want to get too complicated with these ones. I may do a little tweaking as I pack up cards to mail out to the shipper in the Mid-West. We'll see. Now I want to see what you've got. You've got until October 8 to get your project done, and added to Mr. Linky at the bottom. :-)

Next up on the hop is the a-maz-ing Nina. :-) Go check her out and leave her some love!

I'm off to finish up a garage sale this weekend, so I'll be back Monday! :-) You guys are all great,
happy scrapping!

Brittany
