GIU Day 5

Hi all! How does a week go so fast when you're having fun? So today is my final day as a Growing in Unity girl 2017 for Unity Stamp Company. I went completely off the page today and decided to do a canvas. I'm not entirely sure if I'm keeping or gifting it yet but it's fun. :-) Today I played with the Canvas Wishes set that was released in May 2014. I love this set, it's huge and so fun to use. I used it on a canvas that I covered using Dylusions Ink Sprays. I didn't ink the stamps, instead I used water to lift the color. The words on the bottom were hand lettered by me using my trusty water brush.

So much color and fun.... I kind of love it.

Don't forget to leave a comment today (or leave comments on the other 4 days if you haven't already) because I will be picking 2 winners on Saturday night to win some Unity Stamp Co. goodies! :-)

Thanks so much for visiting my blog this week!

  8. I LOVE THIS! Beautiful colors. When you say "you used water to lift the color" do you mean you stamped in water then on the canvas? I may have to try this! Thanks so much for sharing with us this week :)

    1. Yep, I dipped the stamp in water, let the excess drip off and then stamped on the canvas with it. This technique also works well with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
