Altered Composition Book #1


Did this just for fun. I had bought around 40 of these composition books when Target had them on clearance for 12 cents a piece just so that I could alter them and make them pretty...


All papers came from a kit of unknown origins(includes the stripes, and pink & green polka dots on chipboard). Words, butterfly and flourish are all chipboard. All the black on the chipboard pieces is actually Martha Stewart Glitter in Onyx. So sparkly in real life. I did have to seal this one with Mod Podge when I was done because the glitter was getting on everything.

My Cricut Craft Room's Card & Invitation Blog Hop

Welcome to the Card & Invitation Blog Hop hosted by Erica at My Cricut Craft Room. If you're just stumbling upon my blog start at the beginning { HERE }, this will get you to Erica's blog and let you know all the requirements for the blog hop candy. Here we go! So I'm completely unsure what I'm using this card for yet, but I like it. It measures 4" x 8". The base is a die cut sheet from the 8 x 8 pack of patterned paper from the Dilly Dally line by Making Memories. The plaid & butterfly print are also from that line, I manipulated a bracket shape on my Gypsy so that it would mimic the shape. Not sure which cartridge it ended up being off of. The ribbon is by Making Memories also it's from a vintage line, grosgrain with a ruffled edge. The yellow flower is a sticker from the Making Memories Chloe's Closet line and the stick pins are from that line also. The "Live. Laugh. Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Hi! Thanks for joining us for the GIU blog hop, if you got here from Amy 's blog then you're in the right spot. This is going up a bit late as I'm having major pc issues! So for the hop today, I'm showing you my massive project that I'm working on. I decided to make recipe books for a few people for Christmas and so I'm starting now. I'm using the Chilled Strawberry Soup set, I love it, it's super cute! I'm doing a few different cards into a single set. The set I'm currently working on use the strawberry, oven mitt and the heart.  I think that I'll end up with 20 or 30 of each card type per set.
