So I'm back...

Image
Hello all you wonderful followers of mine! I hope your week has been fantastic!  After I participated in the Pink by Design 2 Year Anniversary I had to give my poor brain a break,  I was on crafty overload and losing my mojo. I did a quick card for a challenge at CropChocolate.com because I love them and I design for them, but other than that I haven't touched my paper crafting goodies all week(well, does looking through the new Close to My Heart catalog count? It's amazing, and I love it all. If you want to check out the new pretties, click the link in my sidebar, all the new products are available as of Wednesday, August 1- that includes the new Artiste Cricut Collection).  So instead of crafting this week, Monkey and I have just been hanging out. The county fair is in town where we live so we went to that on Tuesday. We had a blast, helicopter rides, pony rides, some games, cotton candy, and we went to the demolition derby. Monkey thought the demolition derby was th

PBD UStream Challenge

Image
So for the UStream challenge we had to use something from our junk drawer. I don't have a junk drawer, I have a junk basket. I found a cute green sparkly "5" candle, so I used that. Here it is: I'm going to use it as a treat bag topper for a cute little girl I know. :-)

PBD Challenge #12: Last One

Image
So this is the last challenge for Pink By Design's Anniversary Party. Okay, so there's one during the Live UStream tonight, but I don't know anything about that yet, so, on to the project. We had to make a project using something in our home as inspiration. I chose a bottle of body spray from Bath & Body Works, I just got it, I haven't even put it in my bathroom yet, lol, but the bottle label is really pretty, all bright colors & leopard print. So here's my project: It's so hard to get a good picture of this card, but I did the card with 5 shades of Glimmer Mist(1 for the leopard print, 4 for the gradient colors), it looks so cool in real life. I'll have to try and take another picture tomorrow when the sun is out. :-) Thanks Pink By Design Team, I had a blast today.

PBD Challenge #11

Image
So Challenge #11 is something that I NEVER do. A single layer card. I never do single layers, it's always multiple layers of paper, pop dots, etc... All we were allowed was 1 sheet of paper, whatever stamps we were going to use and inks. So here it is. Sorry for the huge picture, but it's pretty much the only way for you to see all my snow dots. I feel like it should have a warning label. "Warning: This card contains massive amounts of Stickles. Don't look at it in direct sunlight.". Sound like a good one? lol. I had fun and learned I can NOT stamp straight to save my life. Everything is always a little crooked, but eh, proves it was hand made by me. :-)

PBD Challenge #10

Image
I'm back! Yep, I've eaten and done challenge 10 in an hour. :-) I'm on a roll today. :-) So challenge 10 is to use an animal or animal print on your project. Here's what I did: I loved the glittery birds so I had to use them. :-) Not sure if I like it with the blue background but it really makes all the other colors stand out since it's so dark. :-)

PBD Challenge #9

Image
So challenge #9 is to use buttons. Oh, I've got a lot of those, I love using them, but I don't use them on anything I'm going to mail, I know a very cute little girl with a birthday coming up though and we're going to her party so this is for her. :-) Alright, I'm off for a bit, my stomach is ready to eat itself since I haven't fed it all day so I'm going to do that and I'll be back after a bit. :-)

PBD Challenge #8

Image
Hi there, yep, I'm back again. :-) So challenge #8 was to use ribbon in some way on a project. I decided to make a super simple baby card. I really like it. Here it is:

PBD Challenge #7

Image
So challenge #7 over at PBD is to make something with a tag on it. Here's my pretty card. I was having a blast with ink. :-)

PBD Challenge #6

Image
So Challenge #6 is a sketch challenge. We had to make a card or LO with this sketch: Here's what I did with it using the Pink by Design Beary Merry Christmas set: I love how this card turned out. This may end up being my Christmas card this year. :-)

PBD Challenge #4 & #5

Image
So Challenge #4 was to use a silhouette, this is what I came up with: And Challenge #5 was to use ombre. Now that I'm well acquainted with, we used this for the July  CropChocolate DT theme. So here's my project. The cupcakes in the background are is the cupcake PBD background stamp.

PBD Challenge #3

Image
Alright, challenge #3 was to use embossing(wet or dry) on a project. :-) I used both. Dry embossing for the swirls and the butterflies are wet embossed.

Pink by Design 2 Year Anniversary Challenge #2

Image
Hi there, so this is my project for Challenge #2 over at Pink by Design. It's their 2 year anniversary today and they're having challenges all day. Challenge #2 was to make a project for your favorite holiday, and Christmas is mine. I think my birthday being Christmas Eve has something to do with it. :-)

For Those Left Behind Blog Hop 03(Last One)

Okay, last one. I have no more time because we're leaving for camping in 2 1/2 hours and I haven't packed yet! Eek! I should really get on that but since I can't craft for the next 4 days I wanted to get some more crafty time in, darn it!   Here's my last project: This cute card works for the challenges on scrapaddict-laura & by belle 's blogs.  Scrapaddict-laura wanted us to make a card using a journal box, and by belle wanted us to use a handmade embellishment not made from paper.  See my cute little twine butterfly? Super easy, super adorable, and after seeing them on multiple projects this last weekend, I had to try it!  CC Products Used: MME Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink  TH Distress Ink Spun Sugar WRMK Sew Easy Fancy Floss Baker's Twine Neutral- Referee Stickles Goldenrod Stamp: BG Delta L.E. For Those Left Behind Blog Hop 01

Image
So CropChocolate.com had a weekend gathering called Spring Fling last weekend for their customers, and lots of us weren't able to go, so some of the lovely ladies decided to have a blog hop with challenges. We could combine 3 challenges into 1 project if we wanted to, so here's my first project... This is for the challenges on clayton528 , Scrappy Canuck & Karey2005 's blogs. Clayton528 challenged us to make something that reminds us of spring, Scrappy Canuck gave us 1/2 hour to make a card & Karey2005 directed us to use something from nature. :-) This is a pretty simple card for me, I just embossed the main cardstock, and then embossed 2 more colors with the same folder & fussy cut them, and then added some stickles.  CC products: LYB Fresh Print Clothesline Stickles: Goldenrod Stamp: BG Delta L.E. Series Other products: Kraft Cardstock for base(The Paper Company) Momento Ink in Rich Cocoa

Cricut Circle Blog Monthly Challenge

Image
The challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog this month is to make a scrapbook layout about a milestone. Any type of milestone. I chose to do a layout about my son turning 5. I can't believe he's old enough for Kindergarten now. He starts in September. He was so excited to turn 5 it was unreal. I didn't put his picture on there yet, mainly because I'm trying to not post so many pictures of him on line anymore. But you can see where his picture will go easily enough. So here's my layout: Products Used: Echo Park Little Boy Collection Pack Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Vintage Photo Baker's Twine(The Twinery): Mandarin Cricut Expression Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge Sesame Street Font Cricut cartridge Glimmer Mist(Tattered Angels): Creme de Cocoa Ranger Stickles: Stardust ATG Foam Squares by 3M I'll be back tomorrow with some better pictures when I can take some in the daylight, until then, Happy Scra

A Couple of Cards

Image
I've been meaning to get these up here forever, but here's a couple of cards I made. Almost everything is CTMH products and most of it is from the Stella Workshop to go kit. :-) I stamped this one once in Cocoa onto Colonial White cardstock, and then again in Lagoon on Lagoon cardstock and cut out the cushions. I love how it turned out! This one I did with the Art Philosophy cartridge & stamps that come with it. I cut the images with my Cricut, adhered them together & then stamped the cupcake image on it. The Olive cupcakes are actually one cupcake that I cut in half to use on each side. The Lagoon cupcake is popped up with foam dimensionals. I made the candle by cutting a strip of Olive cardstock, stamping down it with one of the pattern stamps from the "Just for You" set and then adding a star(cut from Art Philosophy & stamped with one of the stamps that come with it) and added a little bling. "Happy Birthday" came with Art Philoso

EP NSD Challenge #4

Image
So this layout is for the Echo Park NSD Challenge #4. We had to do a layout based on a sketch. I haven't scrapped an actual LO in a while so it took me way longer than it should have! Here's the sketch: And here's my LO, I actually really liked the sketch so I kept all the elements other than swapping out the square picture for two 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 ones that I matted on coordinating cardstock. I did add bling, just because I liked it. :-) I originally didn't have the lighter letters in the title outlined, but they kind of disappeared into the journaling without it. It pulls out to show the rest of the journaling.  And a close up of the blinged circles. :-) Gotta add a little sparkle, even on a boy's page.  Now here's the funny thing. I did this entire layout with winter themed paper. That's right, winter. I used the Echo Park Wintertime collection kit. Love those papers, and the colors were great, so I went for it.  Thanks for stoppin
