Unity Friends with Flair

Image
Hi there, I've been gone for a couple of weeks, I'm working on Christmas presents like a mad woman! Seriously, I feel like a factory right now! :-) So it's Friday, which means Friends with Flair at Unity Stamp Co. I got a little bit of time so here's what I did: LOVE this stamp, so cute, it's called Candles, Stars & Birthday Wishes. It was a Stamp of the Week over at Unity. :-) I used the Jewel Double-Sided Cardstock Stack, the Cork Stack, & the Corrugate Stack from Die Cuts With a View. And then I added some Star Dust Stickles to the stars. I kept it pretty simple, it's for a little boy. In fact, my little boy... He's turning 7 this Sunday. I'm not sure where the time went, but I can't believe he's so big already. I asked if he could stay little for just a little bit longer & he told me no way, so I guess that's out, lol.  Alright, I'm off to make some marshmallow fondant for his birthday cake, I'll catch y

Bellarific Friday!

Image
Hi there! I love Stamping Bella stamps, and create with them whenever I can(I'm slowly building up my collection). They have Bellarific Friday every week on the blog and the theme for this week is to use 2 Stamping Bella stamps. I chose to use Romantic Chandelier and Stella Ballerina. The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella. It was a lot of fun making this card, the papers are from Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic 6 x 6 paper pad, stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with Bic Mark- It's. Also used some ribbon by KaiserCraft & Star Dust Stickles from Ranger. Love this card!   Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend of crafting, I'm checking out the local craft shows this weekend. :-) Brittany

I promised details...

Image
So I made this cute little card for Unity's Friends With Flair on Friday and promised to come back and give you details. Note to self: Posting on the blog with only the cell phone is not a good idea! It's hard and not very fun. :-)  So here's the card again:  He was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black on acrylic painting paper. Then I got out the fun Tim Holtz Distress Markers and started coloring. I used Festive Berries, Evergreen Bough & Iced Spruce which were the winter colors when they were limited release inks. It was fun. I did completely color each section and then used a water brush just to soften it up just a little. Finished him off using Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Picket Fence on his awesome Santa hat and the snow under him.  For the base of the card, ha, I'm sneaky and you think it's a white cardstock base, but it's actually an acrylic front that I then attached a piece of white card stock. It opens from the top and I have the sentim

Unity {beInspired} Challenge

Image
So I just got the full set of Tim Holtz Distress Markers, I know, I know, they've been out for a while, but I wasn't paying full price for them and I got a killer deal on them from Blitsy.com. :-) So I did a little experimenting with them these last few days, and then yesterday finally sat down and created an actual project with them. I used a flower petal and a leaf stamp that I got in a grab bag from Unity Stamp Co, and the sentiment is from them too. I'm entering this in their {beInspired} Monthly Challenge for the Color Challenge. Here's what they gave us for a color palette:  I used Black, Orange, Green, Purple and the barest hint of that Cream color that you can't really see in the pic, but eh. I was kind of having a blast, and I loved the colors but didn't really want to do a Halloween project. And then I went to the grocery store. Now I don't know about your grocery store but around here they all have these gorgeous bushels of mums sitting o

TGIF!

Image
Oh my what a week. The kiddo has been pushing my buttons about going to school all week. So glad it's Friday and I have a couple of days break before he starts up again Monday morning. So it's Friday, which means Friends With Flair with Unity Stamp Co. Kinda makes me love Fridays. :-) So this week I combined FWF with the Unity {be inspired} Challenge they have monthly on their challenge blog. I used the card sketch from the blog and tweaked it just a little.  Here's the sketch: And here's what I did with it: This is the "Doin' It with Style" Itty Bitty from Unity, and the papers are from the Hip Hip Hooray 6 x 6 paper pad from American Crafts. I was having way too much fun coloring in that apron, it's too cute.  Thanks for stopping by, off to play with the other 2 Unity {be Inspired} Challenges this weekend and visit with my Mom. :-)  Have a fun & crafty weekend! Brit

It's Friday!

Image
And you know what that means! Friends with Flair over at Unity Stamp Co. I've been MIA for a few weeks while trying to get the kiddo used to school again and fighting with bronchitis but I'm feeling better now. :-) SO here's what I did for FWF this week:  This is the "Sending my Love" stamp set. I haven't had it long, this is the first time I inked it up. The papers are from My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary Jack & Jill 6 x 6 paper pad. Love these papers. Thanks for stopping by, I'm off to help a friend make displays for her new Paparazzi Jewelry business. :-) Have a great weekend & happy crafting! Brit

Happy Friday!

Image
Hi all! Happy Friday! It's the last weekend before school starts here so it's a little chaotic but it's fun too. It's Friends With Flair over at the Unity Stamp Co. Blog so here's what I did today plus I'm entering it into the monthly {be inspired} Unity Challenge as a color entry. I LOVE this card.  This is SammyGirl from the AngieGirl line. I have a few of the girls now, and I adore them all. The papers are from Echo Park's This & That Charming 6 x 6 paper pad(yep, totally used boy paper for this card). She's not this pink in real life, I'm going to try and get another pic after the kiddo goes to bed tonight, but I still love her. :-)

What a Unity Week!

Image
Hi all! It's Friday, which means it's Friends With Flair Day over at Unity Stamp Co. Love them, can't say it enough, check out their sales this weekend if you haven't already. Anyways, here's what I did today: I used it for FWF and I also used it for Day 5 of the 5 Day Itty Bitty Challenge. We had to make something using an Itty Bitty stamp every day this week(M-F).  I also made another card or two this week, what can I say, I've had new stamps to play with. :-) Here's some of what I did this week: Day 4: Day 3: Day 2: Day 1: I also did the Unity Color Challenge that I posted earlier this week. And now, here's some animal cuteness for you. We went to the zoo earlier this week and saw these bears:  They had sprinklers on top of their fort thing and they kept trying to eat the water and sticking their faces in it. They were too funny to watch. :-) And the cuteness overload belonged to this cute guy & gal.

Color Challenge

Image
Hi there! I'm back again with another entry for the Unity Stamp Co.'s Monthly Challenge. Love their challenges! So one of the options for the Unity Monthly Challenge is a color challenge. Here's the color palette for the month:  My project is based very loosely on it. I grabbed a few of the colors, but used lighter tones of them. I was having too much fun with this new stamp! :-)  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!  Happy Scrapping! Brit

It's Friday!

Image
Hi all, Brit here. It's Friday which means it's Friends with Flair over at Unity Stamp Co. I'm also entering this card in their August {be inspired} Challenge(for the card sketch). I decided to play with the "Fabulous Girl" itty bitty this time around, and as I always do when I use this stamp, I love how it turned out. :-) So here's the sketch for the {be inspired} challenge: And here's what I did with it:  Love how this card turned out. So pretty. :-) The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6 x 6 paper pad. The butterflies were cut out from one of papers and the dresses were paper pieced from more of the papers. I used a Bic Mark It marker in Woodsy Brown for the stitching and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Faded Jeans for the stamping and inking the edges. Also used a little Ranger Stickles in Star Dust on the butterflies and the dresses.  Thanks so much for stopping by, see you again next t

Hi all! So I'm making it a goal to post more often on here, I'm shooting for at least twice a week. I'm fairly obsessed with Unity Stamps now(thanks to Julie, lol!), and decided to participate in their Friends with Flair this week. They do Friends With Flair(FWF) every Friday on their blog . I've got enough of a collection that I'm now playing along every week(hopefully, anyways). So here's my entry for this week: Used: Stamps: Unity's Life's Short... Krafty Guest Contest Entry 02

Image
Yep, it's a two-fer day! I've got one more to share. I made this card last night because I love this stamp and she's a Kraftin' Kimmie, so I decided to enter her into the contest too.  Paper is Cosmo Cricket's Pixie-Licious. Love that paper. :-) So here's the card: And here's her close up: You can really see her sparkle on her wings, shoes, and the stem of the mushroom in this picture. The sparkle is all courtesy of Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Rock Candy. I think that's my favorite glitter ever.   Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I'm off to finish getting ready to have a garage sale next weekend!  Have a scrappy weekend! Brit

Krafty Guest Contest Entry 01

Image
Hi all! So how's the weather in your part of the world? It's flip flopping between being really rainy(we have thunderstorms in the forecast for 6 out of the next 7 days) or crazy muggy and hot. I miss the nice summer days at this point.  So here's a card I did this morning, the stamp is by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, paper is DCWV's Linen Closet. This card drove me crazy and took me FOREVER, but I love how it turned out!  Here's the full card: and a close up: It was a ton of paper piecing, but she's cute and I was having fun with it even as it made me crazy. I'm entering her in the Krafty Guest Contest that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has right now on the blog. :-)  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a scrappy weekend! Brit

Unity's Monthly Challenge

Image
So I fell in love with Unity Stamps not too long ago, I had seen them everywhere, they're from my state, and then I got some for my very own... It's been a lot of buying them since then, lol. But, they do challenges every month, and you can enter up to 3 times(once each using each of the 3 inspiration pieces). I've gotten one done, based on the card sketch and am still hoping to get one done based on the color inspiration, but that's for tomorrow.  Here's the card sketch for the month:  And here's what I did with it:  Honestly, I have way too much fun playing with patterned paper and can't ever use just one, so I've got a few. Plus I had to try out the chalkboard technique with white embossing powder, I got it a few months ago and just now opened it up... Oops, I should use stuff a little sooner than that!  Alright, off to finish up washing my dishes. :-)  Have a scrappy day! Brit

Oh my goodness, this week has been kicking my butt, we've got so much family stuff happening plus the kiddo's first year of school is winding down(only 2 1/2 weeks left!). So last week was National Scrapbook Day, I didn't get to participate over that weekend, but Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps(www.kraftinkimmiestamps.com) had their challenges open all week long! Gotta say, I've only got a few so far, and out of the 5 challenges I finished, I kept reaching for this one stamp and her sentiments 4 times, lol. Couldn't help it, she's too cute and fun to color! Fussy cutting again kicked my butt on one challenge, but I LOVE how it turned out. Alright, here we go, all 5 challenges in one post! :-) Challenge 01: Krafty Kreations- Use Kraft somewhere on your project Challenge 02: It's a Celebration! Make a project that celebrates something!  I wish you could see this one in real life because it's awesome! There's so many layers and it sparkles s

Image
Yay! So not too long  ago I won some blog candy from the lovely Julie and there were a couple of Unity Stamps in there. I actually didn't have any Unity Stamps, so I had to ink one of them up. Especially when I saw the challenge at CC this last week was to use blue, green and white. I also entered this into this weeks Friends With Flair on the Unity Stamps blog. :-) I love how this card turned out!       Products used: MM Celery Ribbon Fancy Pants Designs "Time for Spring" 6 x 6 paper pad Sentiment stamp from My Pink Stamper's "More Punny-licious" A "pear"erntly Adorable stamp from Unity Stamp Company Rich Cocoa Momento Ink colored pencils for coloring :-)   I'm working on dollar spot mailboxes for some kiddos for valentine's day and they're kicking my butt, so gotta get back to them, but I wanted to share today. :-)   Happy crafting! Wow!

Image
Wow it's been awhile since I posted. It's been a little crazy here, but I should be good to go now, lol. So here's a recent project I did for the CropChocolate.com weekly challenge. The challenge was to use pink, bling and at least 1 flower somewhere. This is what I did.  The patterned papers are all Echo Park Graceful, the girl image is from Stamping Bella, the heart is from Stampin' Up and the "be mine" stamp is Basic Grey. Flowers from Bazzill Basics, and the jewels in the centers are from Scrappin' Supplies.  I'll be back soon, I'm working on Valentine's for the kiddo and my niece. :-)  Have a happy scrappy day! Brit
